Take a look at this....
Welcome to 'Called Today' - the Vocations Sunday Microsite from the National Office for Vocation.
You may have seen our posters in church or school and are wondering who these characters are. Based on real people who have a vocation to the priesthood or consecrated life, these five men and women have different stories and lead very different lives. But they have one thing in common. They are all being called today to dedicate their lives to the Lord and his Church, a call which they have responded to and accepted with generous hearts
Only in England...?
Yes this is how the tabletista/ecclestone square mob squander our resources to promote vocations for the Yu-Gi-Oh generation....
Notice the trendy brother in the matrix get-up and the groovy nun with the tiny lapel pin cross to indicate her vows ? I'm not going to ask any of you which one of these looks like they've ever kissed a girl because it would be depressing beyond endurance...? I'd also hate to sound racially insensitive, but why is it only the 'people of colour' who are wearing the collar and habit ? maybe the white dudes, dudettes and non-dudally specifics are too hip-and-happening and too busy chilling with their homies to wear them ?
Who's their boss at their secret underground hideout ? A mother superior who swings between the skyscrapers shooting web rosaries ? A father abbot who raises aloft his medal of saint benedict and transforms into the one of the four horsemen of the apocalypse ? where's the fat wise-cracking ugly sidekick who gets into wacky sitations ? where's officer Dibble , Choo-choo and Benny the ball ?
